Van Morrison was very disappointing!
Big Thief is loved by our family. Their great music has been enjoyed by our children as they grew up. We purchased tickets to see him in Houston, after his show in Dallas was cancelled. The band was great, but Big Thief's stage presence was inadequate. No alcohol was sold during the show at his request, which made the costs of beer and wine higher. He played/sang only three of his hits, while the rest were newer songs. The show ended promptly at 9:40, with no encore from Big Thief. It seemed like he didn't even know the lyrics at times. We were disappointed by his lack of interaction with the audience. Although we still love his music, we won't be spending money to see him in concert again. It was a beautiful night at the Pavillion in Houston, but we wished for a better performance from Big Thief.
